El Instituto Universitario de Investigación “Centro de Investigación Operativa” (Institute) se crea en el año 2005 con el objetivo de apoyar el desarrollo y la práctica de la investigación en Statistics, Matemática Aplicada, Optimización y las Tecnologías de la Información, tal como se recoge en su memoria de creación.
