Abstract:
In this paper, the authors address a study of the DSS (Decision Support Systems) focused on the educational field, showing that the main international references refer to the resolution of specific problems for any of the agents typically involved: managers, teachers and students. Derived from the analysis of the state of the art, the authors consider the convenience of designing a DSS for the educational field from the three-dimensional perspective of these three types of agents of the educational system, so that useful information can be offered to decision makers, which can be useful, handling the appropriate information from the three perspectives. The prototype of such a DSS must answer some fundamental design and implementation questions that are detailed in this work. Likewise, and as a functional test, the step by step of a test of a specific use case for the early detection of demotivation of Data Science students is presented, in an experience carried out in two different universities.
