Mostrar\u00e1 dos casos concretos y recientes de aplicaci\u00f3n de tales t\u00e9cnicas, en \u00e1mbitos sustancialmente diferentes: Un sistema de predicci\u00f3n del rendimiento de los estudiantes (\u00c1mbito Data Mining educacional) y un modelo de Morfolog\u00eda Matem\u00e1tica basada en la Frontera, que computa s\u00f3lo los puntos en la frontera de los objetos (\u00c1mbito Industrial).<br \/>\n<strong>Breve Bio:<\/strong><br \/>\nRafael Molina es Profesor Titular de Universidad de Ciencia de la Computaci\u00f3n e Inteligencia Artificial, en la Universidad de Alicante (UA), donde ejerci\u00f3 como director de su departamento. El profesor Molina tiene una prol\u00edfica actividad investigadora en el campo de la Inteligencia Artificial, con numerosas y valiosas aportaciones. Su investigaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 enfocada, principalmente, en tres \u00e1mbitos:<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 El dise\u00f1o y la fabricaci\u00f3n por ordenador, en particular en t\u00e9cnicas de inteligencia artificial para el c\u00e1lculo de trayectorias de mecanizado.<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Los modelos de representaci\u00f3n del espacio, basado en visi\u00f3n artificial, y la s\u00edntesis, a partir de modelos gramaticales.<br \/>\n&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Las t\u00e9cnicas de inteligencia artificial para el an\u00e1lisis de informaci\u00f3n, particularmente de datos educativos y de datos empresariales.<br \/>\nEstas l\u00edneas confluyen en un punto: la aplicaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9cnicas de inteligencia artificial en el tratamiento de grandes vol\u00famenes de datos, estructurados o semi-estructurados.<!--:--><!--:en--><strong>Title<\/strong>: Applications of Artificial Intelligence to data processing . It shows two concrete and recent cases of application of such techniques in substantially different fields : A forecasting system student performance (Scope Data educational Mining) and a model of mathematical morphology based on the Frontera , which computes only points in the border objects (industrial )<br \/>\n<strong>Brief Bio:<\/strong><br \/>\nRafael Molina is Associate Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, University of Alicante (UA), where he served as director of his department. Professor Molina has a prolific research activity in the field of Artificial Intelligence, with many valuable contributions.
