As\u00ed se har\u00e1 un breve recorrido ilustrado con problemas por el principio de Invarianza, las pruebas por Coloraci\u00f3n, el principio de Dirichlet, la Combinatoria, la Teor\u00eda de N\u00fameros, las Desigualdades, las Ecuaciones Funcionales y la Geometr\u00eda.<br \/>\n<strong>Breve Bio:<\/strong><br \/>\nEl profesor Juan Manuel Conde Calero es Titular de Escuela Universitaria de la Universidad de Alicante desde 1998. Anteriormente imparti\u00f3 docencia de Geometr\u00eda Proyectiva en el Colegio Universitario de Burgos (1978-1983) y despu\u00e9s de 1983 a 1998 Catedr\u00e1tico de Instituto de Matem\u00e1ticas en Alicante.<br \/>\nEntre sus actividades matem\u00e1ticas, adem\u00e1s de la docencia, es miembro del Jurado Calificador de la Olimpiada Matem\u00e1tica de la Universidad de Alicante desde 1984 y desde 1990 ha participado como profesor preparador y acompa\u00f1ante (Jefe Adjunto Y Jefe de Delegaci\u00f3n) del equipo espa\u00f1ol a la Olimpiada Internacional de Matem\u00e1ticas. In this talk the classic areas of Elementary Mathematics such as Combinatorics, Algebra, Elementary Number Theory and Geometry will be illustrated with relevant problems and techniques. The latter will include the principle of invariance, proofs by coloring, Dirichlet&#8217;s Principle, combinatorial and number theoretical arguments, inequalities, functional equations, and geometrical constructions.<br \/>\n<strong>Brief Bio<\/strong><br \/>\nJuan Manuel Conde Calero is Research Professor at the University of Alicante since 1998. Previously he lectured projective geometry at the University College of Burgos (1978-1983), and from 1983 to 1998 he was the Head of the Mathematics Study at a High School in Alicante.<br \/>\nFurthermore, he is a member of the Jury of the Mathematics Olympiad at the University of Alicante since 1984 and, since 1990, he is coach , Deputy Head, and Head of Delegation of the Spanish team at the International Mathematics Olympiad.
