Javier Toledo of the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/cio.edu.umh.es\/en\/\">Research Institute Center of Operations Research (CIO)<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, Dr. Jos\u00e9 M. Blanes of the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/ieg.umh.es\/\">Industrial Electronics Group (IE-g)<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and Dr. Vicente Galiano of the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/atc.umh.es\/gatcom\/\">Group of Architecture and Computer Technology (GATCOM)<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, have developed an algorithm that allows to\u00a0compute online the five parameters of the single-diode model through the Web<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">[button link=\u00bbhttps:\/\/pvmodel.umh.es\/\u00bb type=\u00bbbig\u00bb newwindow=\u00bbyes\u00bb] <strong>https:\/\/pvmodel.umh.es\/<\/strong>[\/button]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Thanks to this efficient algorithm which is able to work completely autonomously from the voltage and intensity data of any solar panel, it has been possible to create <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pvmodel.umh.es\/\">one of the first Webs<\/a><\/strong> in the world with these options. The algorithm executed through the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pvmodel.umh.es\/\">Web<\/a><\/strong> has been published in an <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pvmodel.umh.es\/papers\">article<\/a><\/strong> of the prestigious international journal IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics (Journal indexed in the JCR with an impact index of 7.168, first of the Ranking in the AUTOMATION &amp; CONTROL SYSTEMS and INSTRUMENTS &amp; INSTRUMENTATION categories).<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">The single-diode model has been used for more than 40 years for the optimal manufacture of solar panels, among other applications. The algorithm obtained by the UMH researchers, called Two-Step Linear Least-Squares method (TSLLS), provides the best results so far in two cases study commonly used in this research area and, on average, in more than one million curves of a repository of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the USA.
